Over 30 years ago, starting in the early 1980s, diversity first became a popular buzzword and topic.
Today, there is a new word ‘Inclusiversity™’ that is rapidly and widely being accepted throughout the U.S. and applied in workplaces. The word is intended to clarify the intent of any blended group, team or project. This choice of wording is first and foremost intended to include others, include different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds.
"Most people do find it offensive and I think to have a productive workplace with high morale, that generally people should refrain from engaging in objectionable behavior,” he says. “A lot of times when charges are filed with us based on [discrimination or hostile actions because of race, sex, color, national origin, religion, disability or age], there usually is some aspect of profanity involved."
Sexual harassment has taken a course no one ever expected. It has gone from male to female, supervisor to front-line employee whereby today it is same sex harassment. Everyone should know what the law is both at the legislative and case law (court).
The first-line supervisory position is the level on the management hierarchy at which most people obtain their first management experience. A supervisor is the first-level manager in charge of entry-level and other departmental employees.
The U.S. military spends enormous amounts of time and money preparing soldiers for war but correspondingly very little of these resources preparing them to return to civilian life and to the work place.
