Intro to Sexual Harassment Workshop

Workshop Description:

This interactive workshop will raise awareness of sexual harassment as a workplace problem and outline legal avenues through which harassment complaints can and should be pursued. It will provide examples of what behaviors constitute harassment so all employees can avoid committing it.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is a must for all employees, supervisors, and managers who are interested in preventing sexual harassment within their organizations.

This workshop will include discussions about:

  • Define sexual harassment and its two primary types
  • Identify basic myths and misconceptions surrounding sexual harassment
  • Recognize the boundaries of acceptable and unacceptable touching behaviors
  • Recognize the boundaries of acceptable and unacceptable looking behaviors
  • Recognize the boundaries of acceptable and unacceptable verbal behaviors
  • Develop a set of skills to deal with harassers
  • Understand why sexual harassment behavior is viewed as an abuse of power
  • Develop skills to monitor and judge your own behavior to avoid being accused of sexual harassment

Fees:

Workshops range from one-two hours. The cost is negotiable in the greater Milwaukee County and Southeastern Wisconsin areas. Other select Wisconsin counties may be included depending upon distance; $1,000 plus expenses if out-of-state.
